Balen Shah has earned a lot of support, especially from the youth, for his work as Mayor of Kathmandu. Many see him as a fresh and honest leader in a political system that feels stuck.

But would he make a good Prime Minister for the whole country? Does he have the experience, vision, and leadership skills Nepal needs? Or is leading a city very different from leading a nation?

As a Nepali citizen, I admire Balen Shah for his bold steps and honesty as Mayor of Kathmandu. He’s inspired many youths and shown that change is possible. But leading a nation is much more complex than managing a city. It needs experience in national governance, diplomacy, and dealing with diverse issues across the country. While Balen has potential and fresh ideas, he still needs time and exposure to national politics. I believe he could become a strong leader in the future, but right now, Nepal needs someone with both vision and proven experience to lead at the national level.
